News: Air Southwest welcomes new Gatwick shuttle
Date: 08.07.2010Air Southwest customers flying to London Gatwick can now enjoy a faster and easier transfer to central London with the opening of a £43 million shuttle service between the North and South terminals.
It brings to an end the replacement bus service which has been operating for nine months while the new link was installed, and will speed up the journey for Air Southwest customers heading to the South Terminal to pick up a train into London.Air Southwest operates four flights a day, seven days a week from Plymouth and Newquay to London Gatwick’s North Terminal, with fares starting from £29 including taxes, charges and baggage.
Air Southwest’s commercial director Mike Coombes said: “Gatwick’s inter-terminal shuttle service has been completely upgraded and the terminal stations have been transformed, creating a lighter, brighter and more welcoming environment.
“For Air Southwest customers the journey between terminals will be faster and more comfortable, making it even easier to travel into central London.”
The new shuttle is part of a £1 billion enhancement programme at Gatwick over the next three years.
